Handspun and woven by nomad women of the Lhagang grasslands, this blanket is made of a natural mix of yak down and guard hairs, just as it comes of the animal. The black-and-white railroad pattern is classic for this area. The weaving is done on a backstrap loom and is a tabby weave. After weaving a long strip, the pieces are sewn together by men to make a rug.
